Be a Part of Publishing ExcellenceThere are many ways to financially support publishing excellence at UNC Press, from the UNC Press Club annual fund, endowment funds, and the Authors Fund to planned gifts. Click on this PDF to see the many friends who supported publishing excellence in 2014.
Right now, UNC Press is launching the new option of becoming a monthly Sustainer. You can have the pleasure of supporting the Press throughout the year without having to remind yourself, or being reminded, to do so. In turn, the Press can rely on your consistent generosity to fulfill our mission of publishing excellence.
Become a monthly Sustainer today! Make convenient automatic monthly contributions by clicking on the 'Network for Good' icon or 'PayPal' icon below. Please note, UNC Press pays no fees to Network for Good other than a 5% transaction fee on each gift. If you are donating from outside the United States, or if you already have a PayPal account, you may prefer to donate through the PayPal icon instead.
If you choose to make the gift in memory or in honor of someone, UNC Press will send a handwritten note sharing your thoughtfulness with that person.

Why Support UNC Press
Winning isn't everything, but the depth and breadth of the numerous awards received, including the National Book Award, the Pulitzer Prize in History, and several Bancroft Prizes, confirm that UNC Press is one of the top presses in the nation with an international reputation for excellence. And, with 100 new titles a year, UNC Press publishes a distinguished work every three to four days.
This record of excellence and industry cannot be bought, but it must be paid for.
Sales account for 80% of the Press's $4.6 million annual budget. The remaining amount is divided between public support through the UNC System (7%) and private support from the endowment, individuals, corporations, and foundations (13%).
